Defenses in a Risky World
This article in the Washington Times is very pro missile defense. While I am skeptical that our democracy promotion in Georgia and much of Central Asia is necessary, especially given our need for Russian help in other areas, I do support missile defense. Some trading with Russia should be considered, but this is more than a chip on the table, it s a multipurpose defense that allows us flexibility as it pertains to the potential growth of rogue regime weaponization and it could be a partial hedge against Russia becoming too ambitious outside its previous zones of influence.
