European Disunion
This is a solid article that outlines pretty much perfectly why Europe will continue to be challenged in matching its true power to its diplomatic aspirations. It will not be the counterweight to America so many have assumed. Its very disunion will prohibit it from ever being a pole of power in the sense it has yearned for. This doesn't mean its irrelevant by any means, but we also need to see it for what it is in reality.
