Turkey Battling Kurdish Rebels in Northern Iraq
We're supporting limited incursions by Turkey into northern Iraq. Here's more. This is probably necessary for the moment, elements of the PKK (Kurdistan Worker's Party) are acting in a terrorist fashion against Turkey, plus we reall don't want separatist elements to create instability in Turkey which is a "relative" island of stability on Europe's border. Need to be careful it doesn't destabilize the Kurdish areas too much though as we have always had friendly relations and there is, quite frankly, a lot of oil.
