US Dark About World Politics
Disillusioning but true. A new poll indicates that 2/3 of Americans don’t care about global politics and only around 1/3 are actively engaged in domestic politics. I am not sure how to change this equation, but it must be changed. A democracy cannot be successful if its people, whom the government is dedicated to, are uneducated about the issues confronting them. TO make wise decisions about leaders requires at least rudimentary knowledge. This does not mean anyone must be an “expert” in geopolitics, education policy, tax policy, etc, but it does mean a familiarity with the issues is relevant.
