Great article decrying the moronic commentaries often leveled against President Bush from some in the main stream media.  I wonder how many Americans know that the grand master of the “New Deal” and Democrat icon of icons, FDR interred 120,000 Japanese Americans in “relocation” camps for over two years.  I wonder how many people know, as this article illustrates, that the President who wanted to fight World War I to “Make the World Safe for Democracy”, Woodrow Wilson pushed for the “Sedition Act of 1918, a piece of legislation that made it illegal to say, write, or print anything that was deemed "disloyal, profane, scurrilous or abusive" about the government's involvement in the war.”  I guess if you’re a Democrat “Shredding the Constitution” really is ok or at least the media will give you a pass since, well, you’re a Democrat.  Come on folks, President Bush is not the Second Coming of Abraham Lincoln, but he’s no Hitler either.  The more the mainstream media whacks at him, the more historically ignorant they show themselves to be.  The sad thing is, too many Americans don’t know enough about their past to call the media out on their historical “inaccuracies.”  We need to really ramp up our education in history, as Churchill said: “Study history, study history. In history lies all the secrets of statecraft.” 

Today we don’t have too many statesmen.  If things don’t improve we won’t tomorrow either.
