China and Space
China is now planning a comprehensive survey of “every inch” of the moon. This dovetails with yesterday’s piece on the need for a robust American space program once more. It took Soviet competition to get us to the moon, perhaps, it will take Chinese competition to get us to Mars. I know that may sound a little science fiction like, but we should look to accomplish this. The potential economic benefits from a revamped and reinvigorated space program could be major and even transformational. I think this is a window of opportunity.
