More Regime Changes in the Middle East

Two good articles from Asia Times.  As a preface, I am not necessarily in complete agreement with their perspectives, especially on the second article which hits America ’s role in the Palestinian situation.  However, I think, they do illustrate perceptions on the ground in these areas and are useful for consideration.

The first pretty much states that Nouri al-Maliki’s days as Prime Minister of Iraq are numbered and examines likely replacements and their backgrounds.

The second essentially says Mahmoud Abbas is also on his way out as Hamas is too popular and he represents the corrupt remaining elements of Arafat’s corrupt Fatah organization.

What did you think of this article?
