For anyone who loves military history, General George S. Patton is one of the American greats!  The movie with George C. Scott in the lead is great with the iconic image of Patton talking in front of the American Flag.  This Youtube clip uses the footage from that scene and overlays another actor's voice (who sounds almost exactly like Scott) to give an updated speech focusing on the War on Terror.  Really good stuff. 

Also this article from the Washington Institute of Near East Policy zeroes in on the recent National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on "The Terrorist Threat to the U.S. Homeland."   It looks at al-Qaeda's growing target list.  It is important to keep in mind that al-Qaeda is still a serious, though it would seem degraded, organization.  Recent comments about "gut" feelings by Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff are certainly not out of place.
